Highlights – stay in France, Luxembourg, Germany (2 nights) & Belgium.
Monday 19 – Saturday 24 May 2025 and
Monday 28 July – Saturday 2 August 2025
Our view: Ride through the Ardennes forests and the Mosel vineyards on brilliant roads. With great places to visit on a day off the bikes there is plenty for both riders and pillions to enjoy. There are some really twisty roads on this Tour so although one of our shorter trips it will only suit experienced riders.
The Tour starts and finishes in Calais. The first day is a mixture of roads as we cross Northern France to our first hotel in the Ardennes department of France where dinner and wine is included tonight.
The next day we ride through the forests of the French and Belgian Ardennes with coffee & lunch stops before spending the afternoon riding the brilliant roads in Luxembourg where we stay our second night. Our hotel is rated 3* and has a fabulous swimming pool & sauna. This evening is at your leisure, the hotel has a good restaurant and there are several others close by to choose from,
Day three sees us ride a mixture of twisties – including hairpins – and sweepers into Germany. The scenery alongside the vineyards and the Mosel River is just beautiful. We stay in Germany for two nights at the same hotel and dinner is included the first night here.
A day off the bikes allows you time to explore the region: take a boat trip on the Mosel River, take the cable-car for views over Cochem and/or visit the castle. Alternatively ride over to Boppard on the Rhine, visit the fairytale Burg Eltz Castle (just down the road) or try a lap or two of the Nurburgring! You won’t be stuck for things to do. The second night here is at your leisure and there are numerous restaurants a short stroll from our hotel.
Day five we ride some great sweeping roads to the prettiest coffee stop – still in Germany. Lunch is back in Belgium with a late afternoon arrival planned at our final 4* hotel. Dinner is also included here.
On our last day we plan to ride for approximately an hour before having a coffee stop and then taking non-peage motorway back to Calais. An early afternoon arrival will allow you to catch a ferry/take the Eurotunnel back to the UK and reach home the same day.
This will be a fully guided motorcycle trip from the moment you arrive in Calais and with the addition of a luggage van you are able to ride unencumbered. The routes have been extensively researched to ensure that we always stop every hour and a half for coffee, lunch or fuel so riders – and pillions – will not be too long in the saddle. As we use our tried & tested “2nd man drop-off” marker system with a permanent tail-end rider there is no need for you to refer to road books, maps or GPS.
We stay in smaller, independent hotels, all with character, all are biker friendly.
Approx riding stats: Total 1000 miles; longest day is the first day with 235 miles (includes 65 miles of peage motorway); further 120 miles non-peage motorway on the last day.
