The itineraries are the same as for our Fully Guided Tours with the following differences:
- Flexible dates – you choose when to travel
- You can add days on if you want a longer trip
- Hotel accommodation with breakfasts included
- Dinner only on the first night
- Detailed GPS routes (for Garmin) – not just a few waypoints
- Comprehensive Tour Pack
- Obviously there isn’t a luggage van or a guide
- Ferry crossing / Eurotunnel is not included
The GPS routes are the same tried & tested routes that we use on our Fully Guided Tours however they’re not cast in stone and you can alter them to suit. Navigating for yourself means that you have complete freedom.
It is important to realise that in booking a Self Guided Tour you should be capable of operating a sat-nav and accept that you will have to be self-sufficient i.e. be able to deal with certain situations e.g. if you have a puncture, deviate from the route etc. As we could be away running a Guided Tour we cannot remotely assist with such situations.
