“John and Jen, its a while since we last went on one of your tours and The Champagne tour reminded us of why we enjoyed your tours so much. It was very enjoyable and we would have to think hard to find any points of criticism. The hotel was excellent…parking the bikes on the ground floor was a distinct improvement over the basement. The hotel location was excellent making the city centre easily walkable and both dinners were very enjoyable”

“Hello John and Jen, it was good to meet up again and I very much enjoyed the tour, thank you both very much, and of course everyone’s company, a good group. The city and hotel were excellent as were the organised dinners. The champagne house tours and tastings were very interesting and enjoyable.

Two downers; the coffee stop at the lighthouse, and the Sunday lunch stop was an hour too early which meant a very rushed snack back in Reims. I would have preferred a more direct none or less motorway route back to Calais.

The bottom line: I enjoyed the tour very much, very good value, and again thank you both very much.”

To address Keith’s “downers” – the lighthouse had assured us that coffee would be available. It was the first time we had undertaken the ride-out and we made a mistake – hence doing the route in reverse and arriving too early at the planned lunch stop. We both went out in the van the next day to refine the route to avoid this happening in the future. The website clearly states how many motorway miles are on the tour – we explored alternatives which with town after town were not feasible in the available time – J&J

For me the second champagne visit was more informative than the first in that you went down into the cellars. The weather was amazing ,the food is great, and the company is always great. “Hi Both, thanks very much for a superb tour, it was good to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. The hotel was very good and well positioned for both eating out and the visits to the Champagne houses. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of choice: The evening meals you provided, again excellent quality and tasty. Bar was comfortable and relaxing. The three nights in the one hotel made it a very relaxing holiday.

Visits to the two Champagne houses were good and informative; the guys giving the presentations certainly knew their onions (or perhaps more fittingly – grapes) and they and the tastings made them both enjoyable experiences. The optional ride-out was good.  Overall: An excellent tour and we would certainly do it again. Thanks for all your hard work in making it such an enjoyable experience.
